This seminal image by Wynn Bullock embodies his explorations in the interaction of time and space. Bullock was the first photographer to deliberately employ long exposures for this effect. This particular print is one of the earliest known examples, as the tones are not yet consistent with his later prints. The age of the print is also indicated by the ink signature and date mount recto, along with the use of Hi-Art Illustration Board as a mount, with a title and negative number in ink on the reverse.
