This rare contact print of one of Adams’s most popular Yellowstone images was printed especially for the Grand Teton Lodge Company in the early 1960’s. This project proved unsuccessful, and after a year or two of producing these Special Edition prints of the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone, Adams abandoned it. Thus, few prints with this stamp remain. This particular example is signed in ink mount recto, with a SEGT&Y stamp with numbering mount verso.
