This outstanding floral by Ansel Adams adorns the cover of his book "The Print", representing the height of Adams' technical aptitude. This is one of two known 11x14 prints of this image (as a vertical); despite the popularity of this image, prints of it are relatively rare. This print comes from Ansel Adams's archive in the CCP, having been deaccessioned in 2019. The print is signed in pencil mount recto, with the Carmel studio stamp BMFA 1 and two stamps from the CCP mount verso. Likely printed in the late 1970's or early '80s.
